The Professional Edition of the emlix Linux Board Support Package for the Fujitsu D2963-S Board (based on AMD Mobile Sempron™ 200U/Athlon™ Neo X2 L325) is particularly composed for the use in industrial embedded applications. In contrast to desktop distributions the BSP is customized for target hardware and optimized for industrial applications. Additionally a special watchdog driver was integrated.

The small system with its elaborate target ressource usage will convince you with fast boot time, high performance, modular design and simple deployment to the target. The BSP is based on e2 factory, the emlix embedded build framework, which guarantees for long-term maintainability and reproducibility. The D2963-S BSP is designated to be used in development projects. It forms the ideal basis for a quick start to the development of your own products.

The Professional Edition includes 60 days of start-up support via email. We are looking forward to supporting you with deploying the filesystem images onto the persistent storage of the target hardware. Free updates (up to 12 months forward from release date) make it possible for Professional Edition customers to integrate new features and bug fixes easily.  
To support development on Windows PCs a complete Linux system with a preconfigured Eclipse IDE is also included as a virtual harddisk image. The virtual harddisk image is provided as a VMware disk image that can be executed with common virtual machine applications.

In addition to the Professional Edition we offer an Evaluation Edition, which is designed for the evaluation of the hardware. Compared to the Professional Edition its functional range is reduced. It is distributed by Fujitsu Technology Solutions exclusively (Download).

Using e2 factory as a build framework makes sure that customer-specific modifications can be realized economically. For such customized editions a solution ready for production can be achieved through additional drivers, software packages, network services and enhancements for special applications, and also through targeted trimming.
We also offer support for your application development through our team of embedded linux application developers that are well-versed to make best use of the software programming environment provided with the emlix BSP.

The two-day developer seminar “Embedded Linux forx86” is an introduction with practical examples which will give you a good basis for your own projects. The seminar is offered in Göttingen, Berlin and Nuremberg, as well as in-house at your premises in Europe. The target participants are developers with little or no previous knowledge of Unix/Linux. emlix also offers individual training to get an in-depth introduction to specific embedded Linux development topics.
