The Evaluation Edition of the emlix Board Support Package (BSP) for the PCM-3342 Board with an EVA-X4150 SoC makes a fast evaluation of the board with Linux as an operating system possible.
The BSP is based on e2 factory, the emlix embedded build system, which guarantees for long-term maintainability and reproducibility. In contrast to desktop distributions it is customized for target hardware and its target ressource usage is optimized. Further advantages are the simple deployment to the target and the fast booting process on target.
To make sure that a simple evaluation of the BSP can also be carried out using Windows-based computers, a complete Linux system with a preconfigured eclipse IDE on the basis of VirtualBox is also available on the DVD.

The EVA-X4150 Board Support Package Professional Edition is designed to be used in development projects. It forms the ideal basis for a quick start to the development of your own products. Support and free updates (up to 12 months forward from release date) make it possible for Professional Edition customers to integrate new features and bug fixes easily.

The Professional Edition additionally include 60 days of start-up support via email. The email-support includes assistance for the basic initialization of the dedicated evaluation hardware. The support is restricted to ten emails.

The two-day developer seminar “Embedded Linux for EVA-x4150” is an introduction with practical examples which will give you a good basis for your own projects. The seminar is offered in Göttingen, Berlin and Nuremberg, as well as Europe-wide as in-house training. The target participants are developers with little or no previous knowledge of Unix/Linux. emlix also offers individual training to get an in-depth introduction to the technology.
